The Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer, launched last year, marked the brand's return to pilot’s watches with an iconic design.
In 2024, the Longines Pilot Majetek Pioneer Edition debuts in dark grey and black, crafted from Grade 5 titanium and limited to 1,935 pieces, all chronometer-certified by COSC.
This model follows the legacy of Longines precision instruments used by aviation pioneers. The original Pilot Majetek was registered on April 1, 1935, for aviators but soon became popular for its reliability and precision. The 2024 edition features a lightweight, durable Grade 5 titanium case with a fluted bidirectional bezel on a cushion-shaped case.
The 43 mm case includes an engraved “1935” plaque at 9 o'clock, featuring an innovative gear mechanism that ensures water resistance up to 10 bar (100 m). The bezel system, coupled with an internal luminescent triangle marker, is now separate from the fixed sapphire crystal, enhancing water resistance.
Powered by the Longines calibre L893.6, the watch includes a silicon balance-spring and advanced components, offering magnetic resistance exceeding ISO 674 standards by over ten times and a 72-hour power reserve. The watch is COSC-certified, confirming its precision through rigorous testing.
The matt black-grained dial showcases grey Super-LumiNova® Arabic numerals with bluish luminescence and a railway-style minute track. Baton hands and an oversized sub-second dial at 6 o’clock add to the functional pilot watch design. It has a black technical fabric strap and is presented in a special Heritage box.
