Gold, silver, and bronze medals are the ultimate symbols of athletic achievement. In honour of these prizes, the Official Timekeeper of Paris 2024 has introduced a special watch to celebrate the upcoming Olympic Games.
The Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition combines all three materials in one elegant design. The watch features a 39mm case in Omega’s exclusive Bronze Gold, a radiant Ag 925 silver dial, and sleek hands crafted from 18K Sedna™ Gold with a PVD Bronze Gold coating.
This design pays tribute to sporting excellence, which Omega has supported globally as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932. This summer marks Omega's 31st timekeeping appearance at the Olympics and continues its role at the Paralympic Games, a responsibility it has held since 1992.
The Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition watch features a vintage design inspired by a classic 1939 Omega wristwatch, which housed the famous 30T manual-winding calibre. The original watch was identified as "CK 859" for its material and case shape. In tribute, this edition includes the "BG 859" engraving on the caseback, signifying the Bronze Gold case shape. OMEGA's unique alloy, Bronze Gold, is known for its soft pink hue and resistance to corrosion. It is made from 37.5% gold, palladium, and silver.
The watch also features the “Clous de Paris” pattern at the centre of its dial, a symbol of elegant French craftsmanship. Omega has added further detail with a circular brushed pattern on the minute and small seconds tracks, while the dark grey OMEGA logo is presented in the brand’s heritage style. The caseback includes the “BG 859” engraving and a stamped Olympic Games Paris 2024 medallion.
The watch has a brown calfskin leather strap and a Bronze Gold buckle featuring a vintage Omega logo. It is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8926, a manual-winding movement that honours the vintage 30T2 movement. The watch is delivered in a special presentation box, including a certification card proving it passed the Master Chronometer tests by METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).
