TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer x Hodinkee

The previous TAG Heuer collaborations, including the Carrera Skipper and Carrera Dato, honoured the brand's heritage by modernizing classic designs.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer x Hodinkee follows this tradition, reimagining the iconic Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer, originally produced by Heuer from the 1950s to the 1970s.

This collaboration infuses the modern Carrera with the vintage spirit of the 1968 Seafarer, retaining its distinctive color scheme and bezel design while updating it for today's adventures.

The Seafarer, with its mid-century roots, evokes a playful, sun-soaked era of watchmaking, recalling the days when watches were built for specific pursuits and worn with purpose.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Seafarer × Hodinkee offers a fresh and durable take on a classic Seafarer reference. This Hodinkee Limited Edition is housed in a 42mm Carrera "Glassbox" case, featuring a domed sapphire crystal that mimics the vintage plexiglass look but with greater clarity and strength—ideal for maritime adventures.

The black opaline dial, true to the original's color scheme, is highlighted with sky and royal blue on the Regatta and Tide subdials. The watch retains the Seafarer's iconic aesthetic by incorporating the bezel within the rehaut in matching black opaline, aligning with the Carrera's bezel-less design.

Upon closer inspection, the Seafarer logo has been repositioned to the sub-dial at 6 o'clock, using a Carrera font reminiscent of the late Reference 2446C's distinct blocky style. While the design nods to the heritage of the 2446C Seafarer, the choice to feature the current TAG Heuer and Carrera logos at 12 o'clock reflects a forward-looking approach. In line with the classic Seafarer models, the date window has been omitted, and the watch comes with a black textured rubber strap, ideally suited for maritime adventures. This timepiece beautifully blends the best of TAG Heuer's legacy with its modern innovations.
